Flood Control Systems
Many properties experaince major flooding during big rains in the area due to the city sewers backing up. What happens is the city sewers get overwhelmed, and start to fill up and will seek its level which will find its way into many basements. There are a couple of ways to help keep the city sewer at bay and not flood your basements or buildings.  We offer the Tramco Flood Control / Lift Station to stop the city sewer back ups.

Tramco 960 Flood Control / Lift Station

The Tramco 960 is the way we recommend for most situations.  We locate your sewer as it exits the building and dig a whole to set this lift station in place. There is a soft acting, bronze seated check valve which will prevent the city sewer from backing up into the building. Then your building sewerage will drain into the pit and the pump will pump it out into the sewer system beyond the house beyond the check valve. The basin is warrantied for a lifetime, the pump and controls have a 10 year warranty by the manufacture.  Tramco also makes an AC/DC motor to keep the pump running during power outages.

Over Head Sewer System

Over head sewers is the proccess of taking any of the first floor and above plumbing and having them exit the building out the basement wall. An ejector pump is needed to be installed in the basement for all the plumbing that is below grade and it gets pumped into the over head sewer.  It is the most secure way to ensure you do not get flooded from the city sewer backups. The cons about this system is it is very costly to do the change over and can make a huge mess of the area.
